Maybe we think
that the truth
or quality or humor
or heart of the
thought
are more important
than
whether a swear word
is present. Maybe we
would like to think
that
our friends have
similar
mature views and
that
our parents do, too,
because if people
are
shallow enough to
judge
us based on the
presence
of swearing on our
Facebook feeds (it
might
indicate we are
friends
of sinners, after
all), then
maybe their opinions
on the subject
shouldn't
matter at all to us.
